Snoopy’s Back

It was a coincidence that, just after Richard announced the upcoming sketching trip at the Schultz museum and Snoopy’s Home Ice arena, I found myself sitting at A’Roma Roasters in Santa Rosa, looking out the window at Snoopy.  He’s dressed here as a railroad conductor (you could recognize overalls from the front view) because he’s standing in the heart of Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square.  I love seeing the painted Peanuts figures around town, and now I’m thinking it’d be fun to paint more of them.  (And I just found a listing of some of their locations, here.)

About Diane

I'm a woman in my mid-50s, starting over after the end of a long marriage, parenting a teenage daughter, and thinking about who I am and where I am going in this new phase of my life. I'm an artist, a reader, a lawyer, a passionate learner... but who knows what else I will turn out to be!

Cute. I love the Snoopys and other characters. I was going to do Lucy, but had my stroke. Bummer

Nice capture there Diane! I painted one of the Charlie Brown statues but it’s now in private hands. I had a lot of fun painting it.

    Nice sketch.
